I was beginning to think I’d never get back here.
The past couple of weeks have been really rough. The pain reached new heights. My hands especially took it hard, and I spent many nights only being able to think about things I’d like to write. There might be an influx of posts this weekend as my hands catch up with my mind.
And I still need to catch up on reading as well. Hoping everyone out there has been doing well while I’ve been gone.
Things are settling down a little, with beautiful weather rolling in for a weekend with no plans (except the ominous task of giving Takoda a bath). This afternoon after I closed up the work laptop, I took Takoda for a walk and explored a new trail — at least a portion of it. The trail seemed to go on and on — gives us something to continue to explore on future walks. The sky is a brilliant blue, and the trees still a vivid green, even with a few early autumn leaves floating in the stream. Puffy little white clouds spotted the blue sky. Everything looked like something out of a postcard.
Now I sit in my comfy chair listening to the breeze rustling the leaves as the sun sets. A flock of geese flew over, honking as they headed south.
It’s these simple things that bring me back and renew me. A little recharging, and I hope to get caught up with my online community this weekend.
